Nufinish spring lock plates are built to handle the most severe grinding conditions, grinding tool’s sit recessed in the plate so there’s nothing to shear off while a retention spring deflects to absorb large impacts. The plate and tool holder pockets are machined separately to allow for the use of different materials and the replacement of only the damaged component and not the entire plate. The plate is machined from aluminum to reduce rotating mass while the tool holder pockets are machined from steel for strength and durability. Nufinish spring lock plates are available for most grinders which facilitates the use of one tool system across different brands reducing inventory and simplifying jobs.
